Open House and First Day of School for 2008- 2009

Hello all-
We are gearing up for another fun and exciting year at The Learning Place.
All the teachers are working hard to get the class rooms ready for a new group of kids.

A couple of dates coming in August are:
Open House for Monday/ Wednesday classes is on Monday August 18, 7 PM in the church
first day of school for Monday/ Wednesday classes is on Wednesday, August 20, 9:30 AM

Open House for Tuesday/ Thursday classes is on Tuesday, August 19, 7 PM in the church
first day of school for Tuesday/ Thursday classes is on Thursday, August 21, 9:30 AM

Letters from the teachers with a school supply list was mailed out on Friday, July 25th. If you have not received your letter this week please call the school to have a new one sent.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

In house registration is Jan. 28th- Jan.31st. Open registration is Feb. 4th @10am-12pm and Feb.5th from 10am-12pm. This years registration fee is $45.00 (siblings $25.00).

The Firemen came to visit!

Two weeks ago we had a visit from the O'Fallon Fire District. We learned all about fire safety, what to do if your house caught on fire, and what a fireman looks like when they are all dressed up, so the we wouldn't be scared! We practiced stop, drop, and roll, and even got to walk through a real fire engine. We really liked it when Miss Hannah and Miss Kathy got dressed up in the fireman's gear!

Wow! What a great Grandparents Day turn out. We all enjoyed getting to meet each of you. It is so wonderful to see so many grandparents envolved with their grandchildren. You made us feel so good. Thank you all for the cards and for coming to the preschool .


October dates to remember:Wednesday October the 3rd and Thursday October 4th will be our field trip to Daniel's Farm & Greenhouses. We will need to be there at 9:30 am. Look for the letter with more information in your child's folder.

Monday, October15th and Tuesday October 16th we will have a visit from the Fireman and Sparky.

Fall Parties: Tuesday October30th at 1pm and Wednesday October31st at 1pm. Please no scary costumes.

The New School Year

Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year at the Learning Place Preschool! We are all excited about the coming year. Open House for the Monday/Wednesday session will be Thursday Aug 16th at 7:00. Open House for the Tuesday/Thursday session will be Tuesday Aug 21 at 7:00. We hope to see all of you there!
